Five People Died In A Well From Poisonous Gas. Indonesia

Residents of Jarin Village, Pademawu District, Pamekasan, Madura, were shocked. The reason is, 5 of their residents died in a well, allegedly from inhaling poisonous gas, Thursday (11/28/2024).

The discovery of the 5 victims began when a resident named Rahman heard screams for help from the victims. Rahman intended to help the victims and saw what was happening at close range.

However, when he was in the middle of the well, he changed his mind and chose to get out of the well and ask for help from other residents.

"It is suspected that the victims inhaled poisonous gas from inside the well that smelled of soaked bamboo. The soaked bamboo was planned to be lifted to make sacks for drying tobacco," said Pademawu Police Chief Iptu D. Riawanto to reporters at the location, Thursday (11/28/2024).

He added that the soaked bamboo would be lifted to make tobacco drying bags.

"The soaked bamboo is planned to be lifted to make sacks for drying tobacco," he added.

The 5 victims were successfully evacuated by residents and rushed to Smart Pamekasan Hospital, but could not be saved. The victims were immediately taken home from work to the funeral home.

Now the 5 bodies have been handed over to their respective families for burial.
