Woman Dies After Falling Off Motorcycle In Traffic Accident In Cidade Nova

A woman, identified only as Fabíola Ramos, died on Friday night (10/4), on Avenida Noel Nutels, after her partner, who was riding, lost control of the motorcycle he was riding. They were surprised by a car that was performing an unsafe maneuver.


According to information from Fabíola's partner, they were traveling along the avenue when the driver of the car performed the dangerous maneuver and both the motorcyclist and the passenger fell onto the road.


With the strong impact of the collision, Fabíola, who was wearing a helmet, ended up hitting her head on the ground and, due to the severity of her injuries, died at the scene of the accident.


Locals called the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU), which still provided first aid but soon after confirmed the woman's death. The motorcyclist suffered minor injuries and was inconsolable over the loss of his partner.


Agents from the Municipal Institute of Urban Mobility (IMMU) were at the scene and isolated part of the road. The victim's body was removed by the Legal Medical Institute (IML) and the case must be investigated by the Specialized Traffic Accident Unit (DEAT).
