
Three Ubatã residents from the same family died in a serious accident on the BR-101 highway early in the afternoon of Friday, the 24th, near Itamarati, in the Ibirapitanga district. According to Ubatã Notícias, Luís Felipe, a Ubatã resident, his wife Thayne Reis and their son were traveling in a Fiat Argo to Camaçari, in the metropolitan region of Salvador, after attending the inauguration of a Lexcom branch in Ubatã last Saturday, the 18th, and performing network services for the company this week.
According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the vehicle collided with the back of a box truck belonging to the company Noronha Pescados. Witnesses reported that the passenger vehicle and the truck skidded before the accident. Oil is suspected on the road.
At the time of the tragedy, there was at least one other vehicle traveling with the Ubatã family to Camaçari. The Military Police were at the scene. The Technical Police Department (DPT) was called to the scene and issued the expert report and body removal instructions. The atmosphere in Ubatã is one of great emotion.
