A serious accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, the 3rd, leaving two people dead and one seriously injured on the Nelson Nogueira highway, which connects Franca to Ribeirão Corrente. According to information gathered so far, the car crashed hard into a pole on the side of the road, completely destroying it.
The victims were identified as Jerson Lordeiro Batista, 30, and Leonardo de Sousa Lisboa, 29, who died at the scene. Douglas Ferreira Pimenta, 28, was rescued unconscious, intubated, and taken to the hospital, where he remains hospitalized. SAMU, Fire Department, and Military Police teams responded to the scene. Parts of the vehicle were scattered around the scene, requiring a thorough sweep of the area to determine if there were additional victims.
