Two Men Were Crossing The Road At A Red Light. One Died And The Other Was Seriously Injured

A 37-year-old man died and another man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident that occurred late Sunday morning (29) on the BR-101 highway, in the municipality of São Mateus, in the northern region of Espírito Santo state.
According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the two were run over by a passenger car, a Citroën driven by a 33-year-old man from Paraná.
The PRF states that the victims tried to cross the road without observing the traffic. The pedestrians were on the zebra crossing, but the signal was free for vehicles.
They ran in front of a truck and were run over by the Citroën, which was following in the lane just behind. The Citroën driver stayed on scene and tested negative on a breathalyser test
