Tecámac, Mexico
Two men from the western state of Sinaloa died when a Toyota pickup truck exploded shortly after leaving Mexico City's Felipe Ángeles International Airport.
The deceased were identified as Francisco Beltrán, 50, known by the alias "El Payín" and reportedly linked to criminal activities in Sinaloa, and Humberto Rangel Muñoz, 31, both originally from Culiacán. According to preliminary reports, Beltrán had just arrived by plane from Sinaloa and was picked up by Rangel, who was driving the pickup.
Officials have not ruled out whether the device was already in the vehicle or if the incident was an attack tied to Beltrán's criminal associations. The investigation is ongoing
