DPD Have Released Bodycam And Dashcam Video From A Fatal OIS That Took Place When An Officer Was Dragged During A Traffic Stop While Attempting To Step On The Driver’s Brake Pedal

Officers pulled the driver over at about 10:15 p.m. at Fenkell Avenue and Southfield Road [after] he had failed to use a turn signal at the intersection. [Police] revealed the officers involved were assigned to a gang intelligence unit.

The officer who was dragged then fired two shots at the driver, striking him in the upper chest, police said. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead
