Man Dies In Police Shooting In Everett, NB I-5 Shut Down For Hours

Northbound I-5 near Everett was fully blocked for several hours due to a deadly shooting involving the Washington State Patrol (WSP). 

After 4 p.m., WSP responded to a report of a road rage incident on the shoulder of I-5 northbound, just north of Marine View Drive. 

According to the Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team (SMART), the suspect began ramming their vehicle into a WSDOT construction vehicle and lift that was on the shoulder of the highway.

Two WSDOT contractors were on the lift/vehicle during the incident
