On November 18, 2024, Houston police responded to a report of two suspects trespassing on private property and threatening the property manager with a weapon.
Officers found the suspects walking on Capitol Street. While the female suspect was being taken into custody, the male suspect approached the officers with his hands hidden. The officers, believing he was armed, ordered him to show his hands, but he did not comply. The female suspect struggled with the officer during the arrest, and both fell to the ground and sustained minor injuries.
The male suspect continued to defy orders and suddenly assumed a shooting stance and pointed his hands at the officers. One of the officers shot him, wounding him. Both suspects were transported to the hospital.
The male is in stable condition and the female was released after being treated for minor injuries. The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed.
