The deceased's daughter, Ms. Thanawan, 25, came to view the body in grief. She stated that her father suffered from mental illness and regularly took medication to control his symptoms. He had never harmed anyone. On the day of the incident, she was only mowing the lawn in front of the house with a garden knife. She doesn't understand who informed the police that her father was in a frenzy and had been shot to death. She insists that she will pursue the case to the fullest extent of the law.
While police inspected the scene, they found six 9mm bullet casings and a blood-stained knife, all of which were collected as evidence.
Pol. Col. Sayam Inthasuwanno, Deputy Commander of Ratchaburi Provincial Police, explained that the incident was a response to a situation, as the house had experienced similar problems before. This time, the deceased was armed with a knife and attempted to attack a police officer. Therefore, she used self-defense tactics, shooting him in the leg, not intending to kill him.
However, they are awaiting the autopsy results from the forensic doctor to confirm the cause of death and will ensure fairness for both parties.
