Mercedes With A Burglary Suspect At The Wheel Hit A Police Officer While Trying To Apprehend Him

A Sarasota Police patrol officer survived being struck head-on by a suspect in a white Mercedes, and being thrown over the vehicle while trying to apprehend a burglary suspect. The incident occurred Monday night on Bird Key.
Officer is home & is expected to recover. The vehicle was found near 2900 Orange Ave. No suspect has been arrested
