The Police Detained A Man Who Beheaded A 27-Year-Old Woman

The authorities identified the main suspect in the brutal murder of Liliana Rosa Pertuz Castro, a 27-year-old woman who was decapitated in the municipality of Santo Tomás, Atlántico. The man, known as 'El Chamo', was captured on Friday morning, June 14, in the same house where the crime occurred, located on Carrera 14 and Calle 1, in the neighborhood of 7 de Agosto.

According to preliminary information, the suspect had a discussion with the victim before the homicide occurred. However, the details of the conversation could not be confirmed due to the high volume of music in the place, according to neighbors.

The local community alerted the Atlántico Police, who quickly responded to the call and were able to apprehend the individual at the crime scene. During the apprehension, the suspect was also found to have wounds.

The motives behind the homicide are still under investigation. SIJIN and SIPOL personnel are carrying out judicial police work to clarify the facts and determine the exact circumstances of the crime.
