Security camera footage released hours after the crime reveals the exact moment Jean Paul Guerrero Rebaza, a Peruvian citizen with a criminal record and known for his relationship with dancer and influencer Angye Zapata, was shot and killed by a hitman in front of a condominium on the 58th block of Alfredo Benavides Avenue in Lima.
The images recorded by the surveillance cameras show that the crime occurred at 8:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10. The video shows Guerrero Rebaza walking toward the entrance of the condominium wearing a white polo shirt, shorts, and sandals.
Upon reaching the entrance, he stops in front of the main gate while waiting for the security personnel inside the guardhouse to open the doors and allow him entry. At that moment, the attacker appears. The hitman suddenly emerges from a nearby corner and runs directly toward the victim.
The assailant is wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the arms and a dark cap. Furthermore, he carries a backpack in his left hand, while with his right he points a firearm and begins shooting at Guerrero Rebaza at close range.
The partner of influencer Angye Zapata tries to flee to escape the gunfire, but the assailant continues shooting while chasing him for several meters. The bullets strike his body, and the victim finally collapses to the ground a few meters from the entrance of the condominium, unable to continue his escape.
The video also shows that the security personnel at the guardhouse are paralyzed by the speed and violence of the attack, unable to intervene at that moment.
After the crime, forensic experts from the National Police arrived at the scene to carry out the corresponding procedures. During the inspection, they found approximately 14 bullet casings at the scene, which demonstrates the intensity of the attack.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the case to identify the perpetrator of the murder and determine the motive. One of the main hypotheses is that it was a possible settling of scores linked to prior criminal records and disputes.

Jean Paul Guerrero Rebaza was a Peruvian citizen known for his criminal record and his relationship with the dancer and influencer Angye Zapata, with whom he had a daughter.
According to police records and news reports, Guerrero Rebaza had a history of arrests for weapons possession, driving under the influence, and alleged drug dealing. In 2016 and 2017, he was arrested in connection with drug trafficking.
His name also surfaced in connection with violent incidents in Callao, when he was identified as one of those involved in an armed confrontation between two rival families in the Pedro Ruiz Gallo neighborhood. According to testimonies gathered at the time, the conflict stemmed from long-standing territorial disputes between the two groups.
During the incident, an intense shootout occurred, leaving one person injured and causing damage to homes and vehicles in the area. Relatives of one of the warring parties also publicly accused him of previous threats and other acts of intimidation related to the conflict.
