Farmer Accused Of Chopping 24-Y-O Man To Death In Police Custody. Jamaica

The 48-year-old farmer suspected of chopping a 24-year-old man to death in St Mary on Thursday is now in police custody.

According to police reports, he was picked up in Windsor, Carron Hall in the parish late Thursday night.

According to police sources, residents stumbled upon Javaughn “Jar” Patterson’s body on the Windsor main road around 5:00 am on Thursday. The Highgate police were called and observed that Patterson had chop wounds to his head, hands, neck and feet.

Residents reported that earlier in the day Patterson had an altercation with the farmer who allegedly inflicted the chop wounds.

The farmer allegedly fled the scene.

It is said that the men have been engaged in a long-running feud stemming from a fire at Patterson’s house earlier this year
