Olga Huamán Sulca, a 23-year-old woman, was murdered and brutally dismembered by her cousin, Jhon Huayhua Huamán, in Ayacucho.
The victim's body was found in different areas of the Carmen Alto district on Friday, April 18, when residents of the Quicapata neighborhood discovered human remains in a vacant lot.
Other body parts were later found in the Vista Alegre area. Forensic tests confirmed that the remains belonged to Olga, a native of the La Mar province.
According to the forensic report, the young woman was strangled, her throat slit, and then dismembered into three parts using a box cutter and a saw.
Thanks to testimony from close friends, the police were able to identify the victim's cousin as the prime suspect. Jhon Huayhua was captured at a home on Ayacucho Street in Carmen Alto. During his arrest, he had scratches on his face and chest, and he had Olga's cell phone in his possession. He eventually confessed to the crime.
According to his statement, the incident occurred on the night of April 16. Huayhua invited Olga to his room with the intention of having sex. When she refused, he attacked her until he died and then proceeded to dismember her.
