A 38-year-old man was stabbed to death and had his genitals severed in the early hours of Sunday (13).
According to the police report, Nilton was found in the backyard of his home with cuts to his neck, wrists, and legs, in addition to having his genitals severed. At the scene, the police noted signs of forced entry at the front door.
The police suspect the motive for the crime was passionate, as on the same day, a woman, a victim of domestic violence, was admitted to hospital. According to the police report, the suspicion is that Nilton was in contact with this woman, a situation that bothered her partner.
She told the police that she was threatened with death and assaulted by the suspect during a jealous episode. At the time, the woman reported that her partner said he would kill both her and Nilton after seeing messages exchanged between them
