On the 7th of this month, there was an incident in which a male student attending a high school in the Dominican Republic (13 years old) had his left hand amputated with a machete. According to reports, a trio of scooter riders appeared in front of the boy, spoke a few words, and then "smiled" and cut off his left hand. The boy did not know the perpetrator
