A member of the Navy of the Dominican Republic shot his partner to death and later took his own life in the same way, on Sunday night, inside a home, located in the Los Mogotes sector of the Villa Altagracia municipality.
The deceased, both 25 years old, were identified as Cesarín Turbí Vásquez, sergeant major of the naval institution, and Rosmeri Martínez.
Agents from the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM) arrived at the scene and in the company of the Public Ministry, the Scientific Police and a medical examiner proceeded with the removal of the bodies and other evidence found at the scene.
The remains of Cesarín and Rosmeri were sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding purposes.
At the moment there is no official version regarding the event, which has not only dismayed Villa Altagracia, but the entire province of San Cristóbal.
