The motorcyclist who crashed into an electricity pole while distracted using his cell phone in the São Manoel neighborhood of Americana (SP) has died. The accident happened on December 25, Christmas Day, and the young man died this Thursday (2).
Images from surveillance cameras show the young man holding the cell phone with one hand and the handlebars with the other on São Simão Street. Distracted, he lost control of the motorcycle, which headed towards the electricity pole, and he did not have time to react to the impact.
The motorcyclist spent eight days in serious condition in the ICU of the “Dr. Waldemar Tebaldi” Municipal Hospital and died yesterday due to injuries caused by the accident.
