Dude Tried To Steal Wires From The Transformer But Burned Out At Work

A theft of aluminum wires ended in death late Friday night (March 3) in the Betânia neighborhood, in the western region of Belo Horizonte. A man, still unidentified, died after trying to saw the wire and ending up being electrocuted. The victim's body was attached to the cables and had to be removed by the Fire Department. The military were called by the residents of Rua das Orquídeas, near Avenida Úrsula Paulino, around 11:30 pm. Upon arriving at the scene, they spotted the victim trapped near the power transformer, on top of a lighting pole, already unconscious. Faced with the risk of electrocution, Cemig was called and had to disconnect the network so that the firefighters could go up to the site, using a lifting platform, and be able to anchor and go down with the man, who was confirmed dead. Still according to the Fire Department, the victim did not have any documentation and, therefore, was left in the care of the Civil Police rabecão, which would remove the Legal Medical Institute (IML) where he should be identified
