A 24-Year-Old Woman Suffered Facial Lacerations As A Result Of The Accident

The accident occurred when the motorcycle, driven by a 51-year-old man, ignored a stop sign and collided with the motorcycle that was traveling in the direction of Santo Tomás. The motorcycle, driven by a 33 year-old man and with a 24 year-old woman as a driver, suffered a strong impact.


The collision caused the occupants of the motorcycle to be thrown to the pavement and the driver of the motorcycle cart also sustained injuries.


Authorities reported that the 51-year-old adult suffered polytrauma, while the driver of the motorcycle sustained bruises and multiple lacerations to his extremities. The 24 year-old woman, who was riding as a parrillera, has multiple lacerations to her upper and lower extremities and an open wound to her face.
The injured were treated at the scene by emergency personnel and later transferred to the Campbell Clinic in Barranquilla to receive specialized medical attention.


The Atlántico Police is conducting an investigation to determine the exact causes of the accident and road safety measures in the area are being reviewed.
