Early this Monday, December 2, Gianella Michell Ríos Baute, 22, died as a result of a traffic accident in the Novailito neighborhood of Valledupar.
The victim was traveling on a motorcycle with the license plate HKG-09H, in which she collided with a Toyota Fortuner pickup truck, whose driver was unharmed and remained on the scene awaiting the authorities.
Regarding the circumstances of the accident, the municipal traffic units, which attended the events, indicated that there was an omission of the stop sign by the driver, and she collided with the pickup truck, which caused her to be thrown from the motorcycle and suffer a strong blow to the head, leaving her dead immediately, added to the fact that she was not wearing a safety helmet.
After the accident, traffic agents carried out the technical inspection of the body, which was initially taken to a funeral home and then to Forensic Medicine for the required autopsy.
The death of Gianella Michell has left a great void among her family. She was the eldest of five siblings and the mother of a 4-year-old girl. She lived in the Villa Tayrona neighborhood and worked for a service station in this capital.
At the time of the accident, the young woman was returning to her workplace after undergoing some medical tests that the company had requested.
