A tragic traffic accident claimed the life of Luis Dionel Manjarréz Ávila, who did not survive the serious injuries sustained in a crash on the afternoon of Friday, March 28, on the Troncal de Oriente highway near the El Portal neighborhood, in the municipality of El Copey, Cesar.
The accident involved a motorcycle being ridden by Manjarréz Ávila and his wife, Yoleida Espitia, who ended up under the tires of a dump truck. Both were treated and immediately taken to San Roque Hospital, where they received emergency medical care. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were referred to the Sinaís Vitaís Clinic in Bosconia.
Despite the efforts of the medical staff, Luis Dionel Manjarréz Ávila died at 8:30 p.m., while his wife's prognosis remains reserved.
Traffic authorities are conducting an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident and determine who is responsible.
