Vallenato singer Kbeto Zuleta has lost a leg following a serious traffic accident in which the bus transporting his band fell from a bridge over the Ariguaní River, on the El Difícil–Bosconia road in the department of Magdalena.
The artist remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Sinais Vitais clinic in Bosconia, with his medical prognosis currently guarded. Doctors are working to save his other leg, given the severity of his injuries.
The accident also resulted in the deaths of two musicians, identified in reports as Geovanny Lobo and Harold Santana.
Authorities are investigating the causes of the accident, including the possibility that the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
