In "Nan Rémy", locality of Croix-des-Bouquets, Jean Alvarez received a stray bullet inside his vehicle and died in the courtyard of the lodge L'Avenir # 50, Orient of Croix-des-Bouquets . His disappearance sent shockwaves through the Haitian Masonic community.
Educator and school principal, Jean Alvarez (39) was preparing to participate in an obligation outfit at the Lodge L'Avenir # 50, Orient of Croix-des-Bouquets last Sunday when he received a projectile in the back. He passed away inside the Lodge, under the helpless eyes of his fellow Masons.
An audiovisual note captured as an amateur, viral on social networks, shows the body smeared with blood of the educator evacuated on a stretcher after being taken to the lodge L'Avenir # 50. Voices commenting on the scene explain the situation of the victim who has just passed away. His mason brothers from L'Avenir, witnesses of his last moments, experienced his tragic disappearance with pain.
Jean Alvarez, Freemason at heart, is reputed to be a devoted and regular man who distinguished himself by his dedication to serving others. Testimonials from his mother lodge portray a man in love with a passionate, exemplary and realistic philanthropic spirit.
