Manacapuru – A teenager, who has not yet been identified, was the victim of brutal attacks on Tuesday afternoon (23), in the Aparecida neighborhood, in Manacapuru, a city located 68 kilometers from Manaus. The attack occurred after the young woman left school and was taken by another teenager to a wooded area, where the attacks were recorded on video.
In the video, a witness accompanies the teenager being taken to the crime scene, where she is violently attacked. According to reports from witnesses, the attacker did not study at the same school as the victim and entered the school to threaten her, claiming to be armed.
The motive for the attack, according to reports, was a disagreement related to rumors involving the name of the attacker, who was reportedly enraged upon discovering that the victim was spreading rumors about her.
In addition, information circulated that the victim had Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). However, the André Vidal de Araújo State School, where the teenager studies, denied the rumor in an official statement, stating that “the student involved is not a disabled student, nor does she have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as was widely and erroneously reported.”
The institution regretted the incident and reinforced that it is adopting all “appropriate measures, together with the competent bodies, to treat the situation with the necessary seriousness.”
