Man And Woman Arrested After Scots Shop 'Trashed' And Cops Called To 'Disturbance'

A man and woman have been arrested after a shop was allegedly trashed during a disturbance. The incident took place at Town Shop in Causeyside Street, Paisley, on Saturday evening.


In footage that went viral on X, formerly Twitter, racking up hundreds of thousands of views, a man and woman can be seen within the store, with stock littered across the floor.


The pair were ejected from the Renfrewshire store and cops were called. Police confirmed they attended the alleged disturbance.


The force arrested a woman, 31, and a man, 48. The pair have been charged in connection and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.


A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.15pm on Saturday, August 24, we were called to an ongoing incident where a man and a woman were 

causing a disturbance within a takeaway shop in Causeyside Street, Paisley.


"Officers attended and a 31-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man were arrested and charged in connection and will be the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal."
