Now! On Friday night (24), a motorcyclist was shot by the police on the corner of Santo Amaro Street, in Glória, after a robbery in the Cosme Velho neighborhood. According to preliminary information, three bandits had robbed a motorcyclist on Cosme Velho Street, stealing his white motorcycle.
The criminals headed towards Largo do Machado, but were intercepted by police in Glória. During the approach, there was an exchange of gunfire, and one of the criminals was hit and injured. The other two managed to escape and, to date, have not been located.
The area was cordoned off for forensic work, and police teams are searching for the fugitives. The incident is still ongoing.
Update: according to information from the PM, the pillion passenger on the motorcycle pulled out a Glock 9m pistol and fired shots at the patrol, who immediately retaliated against the unjust aggression, and the PM fired 6 shots, hitting the pillion passenger who fell off the motorcycle. It was reported that a homeless man was shot and was rescued by the fire department's ambulance along with the motorcycle's pillion passenger.
