On Sunday night, the 19th, the Campo Grande neighborhood, in the North Zone of Recife, was the scene of yet another homicide. The victim, Emerson Trajano da Silva, 33, was shot dead while walking on a public street with his wife.
According to preliminary information from the police, two men on a motorcycle approached Emerson and fired several gunshots, resulting in the victim's death at the scene. His wife, although she witnessed the crime, was not injured.
So far, the authorities have no information about the motive for the homicide or the identity of the perpetrators. The Civil Police were called and are conducting investigations to solve the case.
Forensic police teams carried out the body examination at the crime scene, and Emerson's body was sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine (IML) in Recife for the necessary procedures.
