Former Police Officer Killed While Resisting Robbery

Colombia, Video shows when the victim, who was part of the active reserve of the National Police, was next to his vehicle at a gas station, when a man slowly approaches and turned up behind him, trying to steal his cell phone.

The retired policeman resists the robbery, so the thief pulls out a firearm and shoots him. The victim is lying on the ground while the criminal flees with his accomplice, who was waiting for him on a motorcycle.

The authorities reported that a plan was immediately organized to find the whereabouts of the murderers. In addition, the Police are offering a reward of twenty million pesos for anyone who provides information that allows the capture of those responsible for the crime.

"There was an unfortunate event in which a person who was part of the active reserve of the National Police, apparently, for stealing him, a criminal approaches him, there is a struggle and he shoots him with a firearm, causing his death", informed the Police of the capital of the country.

At the moment, the identity of the victim is not known.

According to the information provided by the authorities, so far in 2021, more than 101 people have lost their lives in the middle of robberies in the capital, which makes it possible to establish that every two days a person would be murdered after an assault
