Mother and son are shot dead after giving testimony at a police station in Mossoró
Mother and son were shot dead inside an app car in Mossoró this Tuesday morning (16). The crime happened around 10:30 am.
The victims were identified as Júlio Pedro da Silva Lopes, aged 18, and Kaliane Priscila da Silva.
According to the Military Police, the two were on their way back from the Specialized Theft and Robbery Police Station (Defur), where Julio went to testify as a suspect in theft.
At the intersection of Rua Tarcísio Correio and Avenida Abel Coelho, the car carrying the mother and child was intercepted by a black vehicle, from which armed men left, shooting at the victims. Julio and Kaliane were shot in the head and died on the spot.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured and has already provided clarification on the episode.
The case will be investigated by the Civil Police
