At least nine people were killed and around ten others injured when a speeding Jaguar car ploughed into a crowd gathered at an accident site on a bridge in Ahmedabad, in India's Gujarat state. Among the deceased was a police constable and a Home Guard auxiliary, or 'jawan', who reached the spot after the first accident of a collision involving two vehicles. The car driver, T.P., was thrashed by angry bystanders and was taken to hospital with injuries. Police will arrest him once doctors give the go-ahead
