A tent business owner and his 30-year-old son were shot dead after armed assailants stormed their shop in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district.
The incident took place around 5:50 pm on Tuesday in Baraut market, when three criminals arrived on two motorcycles and opened fire on the father-son duo.
According to police, the son, Vikas, confronted the attackers and managed to grab hold of history-sheeter Varun Luhari. During the ensuing struggle, Varun’s accomplices opened fire on Vikas. However, the shot missed its target and instead struck Varun.

During the chaos, someone from the crowd allegedly shot him. A video of the incident surfaced on Wednesday, showing Varun lying on the ground while the sound of two to three gunshots can be heard in the background.
A passerby was also injured in the firing. Police rushed to the spot and shifted all the injured to a hospital, where doctors declared the father and son dead.
