A part-time male photographer died believed to be stabbed by his lover at their home located in Bandar Rimbayu near Cyberjaya, Selangor on Monday. Kuala Langat District Police Chief, Superintendent Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor @ Saleh said, his side received a report at 9.41am from a doctor at Cyberjaya Hospital who said they received an unconscious patient. He said, the complainant performed emergency breathing assistance (CPR) within 30 minutes but there was no response and no pulse from the victim.
"The 26-year-old victim was later confirmed dead at 7.25am on Monday with stab wounds to the left wrist and left leg believed to have been stabbed with a knife. Acting on information, a team of officers and members from the Criminal Investigation Division of the District Police Headquarters (IPD) Kuala Langat arrested the victim's girlfriend in the hospital area," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He added that, based on the review, the 26-year-old woman was a former medical student and worked as a part-time model and had no previous record.
"Preliminary investigations found that the cause of the incident was jealousy because the suspect discovered that the victim had cheated on him," he said.
Ahmad Ridhwan said the woman was remanded for six days starting Tuesday for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code for the offense of murder which provides for the death penalty
