In the Israeli city of Herzliya, a Palestinian radical stabbed to death 83-year-old Russian woman Lyudmila Lipovskaya. He stabbed the woman multiple times in the face, neck and chest. Lipovskaya lived in a nursing home and was waiting for her daughter to take her to the hospital. It is unknown why the terrorist chose a defenseless old woman as his victim.
The criminal was shot by passers-by who had firearms with them. The scoundrel died in intensive care.
The security forces quickly identified the attacker. He turned out to be 28-year-old Ibrahim Shalhoub, who previously lived in the city of Tulkarm on the West Bank of the Jordan River. He was well known to the Israeli intelligence services, as he had previously worked for them as an informant. After Shalhoub was exposed, the Shin Bet counterintelligence service transported and legalized him in Israel.
