Surveillance footage captured a homicide last Wednesday (17) on Ângelo Boareto Street in Três Barras do Paraná. The Military Police were called around 12:00 PM to respond to the incident, which involved a series of assaults and resulted in the death of 32-year-old Juliano Schina dos Santos, who was shot and killed by his former father-in-law.
The footage shows the moment the former father-in-law arrives at the scene wielding a firearm and fires several shots at Juliano, who died at the scene. According to information gathered, the incident began when Juliano, displaying aggressive behavior due to the breakup of their relationship, went to the address where his ex-partner resided. There, he started an argument and violently demanded that his ex-wife's friend leave the property.
During the confrontation, Juliano allegedly physically assaulted the ex-partner's friend by slapping her face, insisting she leave the residence so he could be alone with his ex-partner. Given the situation, the victim contacted her father, reporting that both women had been assaulted by her ex-partner.
A few minutes later, the young woman's father arrived at the scene and, armed with a gun, fired several shots at Juliano Schina dos Santos, who succumbed to his injuries. His death was confirmed by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) team. The shooter fled immediately afterward, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
The Military Police further reported that they had already responded to a domestic violence incident involving the same couple during the early hours of that same day.
All relevant authorities were notified, including the Civil Police, the Medical Examiner's Office (IML), and the Forensics unit. The scene was cordoned off for forensic work, as several people were near the body when the police team arrived. Duty teams conducted searches in an attempt to locate the shooter
