On the afternoon of Saturday, December 13, 2025, around 4:40 PM, a 15-year-old teenager approached a Military Police patrol in Araxá after hearing a fight between a couple inside a bar located on Avenida Amazonas, in the São Geraldo neighborhood. Visibly shaken, the young man reported hearing the argument and recording the moment when a man killed a woman.
Based on the information, the police surrounded the exits of the establishment and, through a crack in the back door, saw the body of a woman, identified as Dileia das Graças Ribeiro Silva, 42 years old, lying face down on the floor, with a large amount of blood. The officers also heard a man crying, confirming that the perpetrator was still at the scene.
Using a sledgehammer, the Military Police broke down the front door of the bar. Inside, the police found Aristóteles Leite Farias, 64 years old, covered in blood. Upon being ordered to raise his hands, he took a few steps and, while trying to pass through the counter, fell, losing a lot of blood.
First aid attempts were made and the Military Fire Department team was called, which arrived quickly, but found that both were already dead.
Videos recorded by the teenager show that Aristotle killed Dileia with blows from a hammer and an iron bar. A hammer with traces of blood was found on a piece of furniture, two bloody knives near the perpetrator's body, one in the sink and the other on the floor, and the iron bar under a table.
It is suspected that, after killing the victim, the man cut his own neck in the jugular region. Dileia had a skull fracture, possibly caused by the hammer and the iron bar. Witnesses reported that Aristotle owned the bar and that arguments between them were frequent. The relationship between the two was not clarified. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police of Araxá.
