The victims are a 31-year-old man from Carlos Chagas (MG), who had recently arrived in the city and had a police record, and a 33-year-old woman, a longtime resident of the neighborhood.
On the afternoon of this Thursday (13), a couple was found shot to death inside a residence on Rua Chiquita Bacana, located in the Castelinho neighborhood, in Teixeira de Freitas. Residents reported hearing gunshots before discovering the bodies.
The victims are a 31-year-old man from Carlos Chagas (MG), who had recently arrived in the city and had a police record, and a 33-year-old woman, a longtime resident of the neighborhood. The man had been living there for a few days.
The Military Police (PM) were called and cordoned off the area until the arrival of teams from the Technical Police Department (DPT) and the Civil Police (PC). After the forensic examination, the bodies were sent to the Forensic Medical Institute (IML) for autopsy.
Authorities are working hard to identify the perpetrators and clarify the motive for the double homicide. The Civil Police of Teixeira de Freitas is leading the investigation and requests that any relevant information be forwarded to help solve the case.
This incident occurs amid a series of violent crimes in the region. Recently, a 70-year-old man was stabbed to death inside his home in Teixeira de Freitas. The suspect, a neighbor of the victim, was later arrested in the state of Espírito Santo (ES).
