Gunmen wearing clown masks and apparently bulletproof vests shot a man several times in the Cidade Morena neighborhood, in the Moreninhas region, in the south of Campo Grande. The attack took place around 5 p.m.
The victim, Moraci Pereira Brandão, 49, was taken to the Santa Casa de Campo Grande alive. The man is an inmate of a semi-open regime unit in the capital, according to information from the PM (Military Police) and was arriving home at the time of the attack.

The car used in the attack, a gray or white Gol, according to information obtained by Campo Grande News, was set on fire minutes later on a street in Jardim Itamaracá, also in the southern part of the capital. The vehicle was dumped 9.9 km from the scene of the homicide.
