Body parts of a 44-year-old woman who had been dismembered into several portions were found at a rubbish disposal site by cleaning workers carrying out garbage collection duties. Further searches led to the discovery of the victim's head and torso in a nearby location.
It is believed the woman was killed by her 71-year-old ex-fiancée. Apparently, the two were engaged, but during that engagement period, the woman spent approximately 7,000 ringgits (around $1,800) of the suspect's money, before calling off the engagement and marrying someone else.
The victim and suspect were still in contact, and the victim was called to the suspect's house, where the suspect is believed to have used a machete to murder and dismember her.
Both the 71-year-old man, and his son, who was at the scene, have been arrested
