A young woman reportedly died after being hit by a train in the Porong-Bangil area, Pasuruan Regency, on Monday (April 6, 2026) at around 3:10 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB).
The incident occurred as the Supas Commuterline Train was traveling from Surabaya to Probolinggo. The train driver saw an object on the tracks before the collision.
According to witness statements, the victim was seen near the tracks before the train passed. As the train approached, the victim allegedly intentionally lay down on the tracks. The force of the impact caused her death at the scene. The victim was later identified as Alfidia Arofah (26), a resident of Beji District, Pasuruan Regency. Her body was taken to Bhayangkara Porong Hospital for further examination. The exact motive for the incident remains unknown, although reports suggest the victim had previously experienced personal problems
