A 13-Year-Old Student Shot And Killed Two School Employees And Wounded At Least 2 Others

A shooting attack inside the São José Institute, in downtown Rio Branco, left two employees dead and at least two people injured on Tuesday afternoon (5).

According to the Special Operations Battalion, the perpetrator is a 13-year-old student. He allegedly used a weapon belonging to his stepfather. The shots were fired in a corridor leading to the principal's office.

According to initial reports, a student was shot in the leg and an adult was also injured, but not seriously. The teenager did not manage to enter any classrooms.

The suspect was apprehended and is in the custody of the authorities.
