On Tuesday evening, a Class 10 student in Ghaziabad died by suicide after jumping from the 15th floor. A suicide note was also found with her. It said, “I cannot cope with the pressure of studies. I am taking my own life because of the pressure of studies. I do not blame anyone. I consider myself responsible. Mum and Dad… I love you.”
The incident took place at Gaur Siddhartham Society in the Vijaynagar police station area. After hearing the sound of her fall, the security guard and nearby residents rushed to the spot. Vijaynagar police also arrived after being informed about the incident.
A young man living in the society said, “We suddenly heard a loud sound and rushed to the spot. The guard also arrived. Her family came soon after. By then, the girl had died.”
Police also recovered a two-page suicide note from the spot. The student wrote that she was troubled by the pressure of studies. Police are examining the suicide note and her handwriting. ACP Kotwali Upasana Pandey said Vijaynagar police received information through Dial-112 at around 7pm on Tuesday that a student had fallen at Gaur Siddhartham Society.
Police took the student to hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her body was sent for post-mortem.

The girl’s family also reached the spot after her death. They objected to residents of the society making videos. The family members said, “You are making a video of our daughter.”
Police are speaking to the girl’s family to find out the circumstances that led her to take the step. They have also spoken to residents of the society about the incident
