On Sunday night (16), in the Sebastião Maltêz neighborhood, in Caraúbas, in the midwest, a man was shot dead and his father was shot during a fight at a kebab restaurant.
According to information from the Military Police (PM), the murdered victim, identified as Mateus Silva de Araújo, from Ceará-Mirim, was with his father at the Beganight kebab restaurant when an argument broke out with another person, who pulled out a gun and fired shots that hit Mateus. The victim's father was grazed by a bullet in the arm.
The father, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to the Caraúbas Regional Hospital. The man's life is not at risk.
The shooter fled the scene and has not yet been found. The PM was called, cordoning off the area until ITEP arrived, which removed the body of the deceased to the agency's headquarters in Mossoró.
The case will be investigated by the Civil Police of Caraúbas, which requested expert reports to identify the perpetrator of the crime and elucidate the circumstances of the incident.
