A 29-year-old woman, identified as Joice Ariana da Cruz Oliveira, was murdered with approximately 30 stab wounds in the early hours of Sunday (5) in Aguaí, in the interior of São Paulo. The crime was captured by security cameras.
Joice was with a friend near Praça dos Aposentados, in Vila Seca, when her ex-boyfriend, Rafael Pereira dos Santos, 38, arrived in a truck. After she refused to get into the vehicle, he began to chase her.
The images show the man pulling the victim by the hair, knocking her to the ground and inflicting several stab wounds. The friend tried to intervene, and the aggressor fled. A Municipal Civil Guard heard the cries for help and found Joice already lifeless on Avenida Miguel Biazzo.
According to the friend, Joice had previously been assaulted by her ex-partner and suffered constant threats. The suspect was arrested hours later in the rural area of the city and taken to the police station in São João da Boa Vista. Joice's body was buried on Monday (6) at the Municipal Cemetery of Aguaí. The case was registered as femicide.
