In a cowardly act, Cadacre Ferreira stabbed his ex-partner several times on Thursday (12/05), in the city of Presidente Figueiredo (117 kilometers from Manaus). The attempted femicide is being investigated by the Civil Police.
The case of extreme violence against the woman, identified as “Brenda”, occurred in the Boa Esperança community, on a farm located at kilometer 120 of BR-174. A security camera recorded the criminal action of the perpetrator, 54 years old.
The man entered the property riding a motorcycle, which was the victim’s workplace, with a knife in his hand. He headed towards his ex-partner and began to stab her several times in front of her children.
In the images, one of the children, 8 years old, tried to defend his mother from his own father. With a piece of wood, the little boy hit the attacker in the head and then clung to him so that his mother could escape and seek help. A neighbor arrived at the scene and stopped the perpetrator from killing the victim, using a machete.
The perpetrator of the attempted femicide fled shortly after and promised to return to finish what he had not managed to do. He is being sought by the 37th Interative Police Precinct (DIP) of Presidente Figueiredo, coordinated by officer Valdinei Silva.
The victim was rescued by the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and taken to the hospital. After being discharged, she gave a statement at the city's police station and filed a police report.
