Transgender woman shot to death in Salvador
A transgender woman, identified as Jeferson Sampaio Neri, was shot to death on Thursday afternoon, September 11, 2025, on Almeida Brandão Street, in the Itacaranha region, near Chácara de Talinho, in Salvador, Bahia.
According to reports, Jeferson was hit by multiple gunshots and died at the scene.
The Military Police cordoned off the area and contacted the Technical Police Department, which removed the body and began forensic examinations. So far, there is no information about the perpetrator or motive for the crime. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police.
